He was picked as the least intelligent of the contestants and while he initially didn’t mind it, the words really got to him.

Big Brother Australia contestant made a tearful revelation in the confession booth after being ranked as “the best at being stupid”. The “bubbly” 21-year-old broke down in the diary room after the 12 contestants were ranked by their assumed intelligence to see how it aligned with the public’s vote.
Straight-shooting Michael was in charge of who went where, which is a fairly brutal challenge when you’re only just getting to know people. Unfortunately for Colin, he was placed at the back of the pack.
In front of the rest of the cast, Colin put up a brave face — stating he “expected that one coming a mile away”.
“I feel like you can’t really really gauge that in a couple days,” he said when Big Brother asked if Michael’s assessment was accurate.
While Colin didn’t initially seem hurt by the challenge, he was seen a short time later walking through the house in his underwear struggling to hold back tears.
The Wollongong native then jumped into the confession booth for an emotional revelation about how others perceived him truly made him feel.
“The way that I am… my personality… I’ve just heard that sort of stuff my whole life,” he told Big Brother.
“Like, ‘you’re too loud’, or ‘you’re stupid’.
“It hurts a little bit to know that if I’m the best at something, it’s that I’m the best at being stupid.”
Musician Abiola was placed second-last on the intelligence ranking, with Coco put the third because Michael thought the public would label her as the “ditzy blonde”.
When it came time for Michael to rank himself, he thought he should be towards the smarter end because he’s “older” and seemingly wiser.
Big Brother revealed that if the rankings aligned with what the public voted for, they would get more money in their shopping budget and retrieve their clothing from the Bargain Basement.
Their suitcases were taken away on the first night before they entered the house and they will now have to slowly get each item back if they have enough funds from challenge wins.
Fans rally around cheeky Colin after tearful disclosure
In the house, where contestants will be for the next few weeks, Holly raced to give Colin a hug when he was walking around to make him feel better.
Aussies watching at home similarly sent him praise.
One viewer saying they felt “so bad for him”.
“Trauma just ripped open in front of everyone,” they added.

“There are all types of intelligence so this ranking is stupid. I have met some smart academics who have no social intelligence,” wrote another.
Others also took aim at Michael for the way he handled the challenge.
“If there was any way to fast track your way to an eviction, whilst simultaneously endearing another housemate to the audience, Michael has achieved it,” wrote one person.
“Not that he had an easy decision, but his attitude in the first task and comments towards the housemates, have shown just how out of touch and emotionally unintelligent he is.
“On the flip side, Colin, who I for one found a little bit annoying after Day 1, turns out to be a pretty sensitive and sweet person.”
However, some viewers thought Michael wasn’t too far from the truth and it was just an unfortunate test to do so early on.
“I mostly agree with Michael’s rankings to be honest,” one Aussie said.
“He’ll be hated for it but I think it’d be relatively close to the public’s results and no matter who he puts near the end, someone will be unhappy.
“It’s purely based on stereotypes with minimal exposure to the housemates.”
“He was pretty spot on,” wrote another.
“Being right does not make you endearing or popular though so he will get voted out pretty quickly.”
