Following weeks of speculation, Channel 10 has officially announced the cast for the upcoming reboot of The Traitors Australia. The reality show, which has had enormous success internationally but was cancelled in Australia after two seasons due to low viewership, will return in 2026 with original Big Brother host Gretel Killeen taking over as host from Rodger Corser.
The new season will feature a cast of 22 reality TV personalities and famous faces, including contestants from Married At First Sight, Australian Survivor, Big Brother, The Block, MasterChef, and The Bachelor. While many fans have expressed excitement over the new season, former MAFS groom Nasser Sultan has criticised the series after he was cut from the cast.
The controversial reality star, who appeared on the dating show in 2018, tells Yahoo Lifestyle he was in the running to appear as a contestant on The Traitors but was axed in favour of MAFS’ Cam Merchant.
“It’s a crime to realty TV viewers not having me on,” he shares, adding that it’s “shocking” producers chose Cam over him.
“They obviously want to bore the audience. I would have saved the show’s ratings from disaster if they had me on. I smell failure.”

‘I would bring viewers’
Nasser went on to argue that the people who have been cast on the upcoming season have been “forgotten already”, and he’s “more known” than them.
“When will these shows realise that having Love Island, Big Brother and Survivor people will not get people watching?” he adds.
“People will watch me to see what I would do and say. I would bring viewers and interest.”

Who is in the cast of The Traitors 2026?
The new season of The Traitors is stacked with personalities from across the Australian reality TV world, including Australian Idol judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson and season one contestant Cosima De Vito.
Australian Survivor winner Shane Gould will join fellow contestants Henry Nicholson, AJ Antonios, and Kirby Bentley — who recently competed on Survivor: Australia V The World — alongside The Bachelor stars Keira Maguire and Alex Nation, and MAFS’ Cam Merchant.
Love Island alumni Rachael Evren, Claudia Bonifazio, and twins Josh and Luke Packham, who also competed on The Block, will also go up against Drag Race Down Under’s Kween Kong and judge Rhys Nicholson.
The Real Housewives of Melbourne’s Gamble Breaux will appear alongside her Sydney counterpart, Krissy Marsh, as well as Big Brother’s Tully Smyth and MasterChef’s Alvin Quah.
Rounding out the cast is Aussie Shore’s Manaaki Hoepo, Made In Bondi’s Lawson Mahoney, and musician Rob Farnham, who is the son of Aussie music legend John Farnham.
The series recently wrapped filming in New Zealand by local production company South Pacific Pictures, and will air on Channel 10 in 2026.
