A star on the procedural drama TV series ‘9-1-1 Nashville’ has died at the age of just 23.
Isabelle Tate, an actress on “9-1-1: Nashville,” has died at age 23.
Per Variety, she passed away on Sunday. No cause of death was immediately disclosed.
According to TMZ, she suffered from a rare progressive neuromuscular disease which confined her to a wheelchair. Her agent told the outlet that it impacted her legs, but can also impact the lungs and heart.
Her agent told the outlet that she died peacefully in her sleep.
The Post has learned that the show will have an “in memoriam” card for her at the end of next week’s episode.
On Wednesday, the Nashville-based McCray Agency wrote on Facebook, “We are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th. She was 23.”
“I’ve known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting. She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1 Nashville,” the post concluded. “She had a wonderful time.”
Tate was born and raised in Nashville, and appeared in the Ryan Murphy show’s pilot as Julie. It was her first major acting job.
Starring Chris O’Donnell, LeAnn Rimes and Hunter McVey, the show is the latest spinoff in the “9-1-1” franchise produced by Ryan Murphy, following fictional first responders in various cities (the flagship “9-1-1” is set in Los Angeles, starring Angela Bassett and Jennifer Love Hewitt, while “9-1-1: Lone Star” was set in Texas and starred Rob Lowe).
“9-1-1: Nashville” follows fire department Capt. Don Hart (O’Donnell) and various other first responder characters, such as his long lost son, Blue (McVey). Tate played a woman attending a bachelorette party who got a dance from Blue, as he’s a former stripper turned firefighter.

According to her obituary, “Isabelle loved volunteering her time to all things, particularly animals – her idea of a fun outing was visiting an animal shelter and doling out lots of love.”
The obituary describes her as an “aspiring actress,” who was “the life of the party,” “full of fire, a fighter” and “never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others.”
It also described her as “musically inclined, often spending hours writing and recording songs with friends and even publishing a few.”
“Her sister was her best friend and her mom was her shining beacon of light,” it reads.
The actress is survived by her mother, Katerina Kazakos Tate; stepfather, Vishnu Jayamohan; father, John Daniel Tate, and sister, Daniella Tate.
