An American country music star has shared his unbelievable response after witnessing a fight break out in an Australian McDonald’s when a man “spat at a female McDonald’s worker”.

American country music singer Drew Baldridge has shared frightening footage of a brawl he witnessed in an Australian McDonald’s restaurant.

Baldridge was in a Melbourne branch of the fast food giant when the altercation took place.

The US singer has been touring Australia and New Zealand with Son of a Sinner hitmaker Jelly Roll, with the pair wrapping up the Down Under dates at the weekend.

In the clip, shared on Instagram, a brawl breaks out after a male customer verbally abuses a female worker.

“The other night we were in Melbourne, McDonald’s, this dude comes in, I don’t know what he was on, but he goes up to the girl at the desk taking the order and he just said, ‘F*** you, you dumb b***h,’” Baldrige recalled.

The video then cut away to footage of the heated exchange with the McDonald’s worker.

Baldridge explained the man said the disrespectful phrase “five times” as customers watched the situation unfold.

“I was starting to get frustrated,” he said. “I was like, ‘Bro, you need to calm down, you don’t talk to women like that.’

“Then he spit on her. Spit on a woman just because his order wasn’t right.”

The US singer explained another man came over to intervene and told the abusive customer “we don’t talk to women like that”.

“Before I know it, these dudes got this dude on the ground and the guys were holding him down saying, ‘Wrong country to abuse women,’” he said.

Baldridge noted he was impressed by the speed in which two other men jumped in to scold the man for being rude to the McDonald’s worker.

“It’s about standing up for what is right. It was just so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman,” he said.

“Our country need more of that and a lot of people are not going to talk about this, you’re going to think maybe it was the wrong way to do it – you shouldn’t fight, but sometimes you have got to know when to fight.”

Baldridge captioned the video: “Never abuse women.”

The American country singer’s post was flooded with comments praising the men for stepping in.

“Thank you! No other words needed here,” one wrote.

“I am glad to see that these two men stood up. We need to do more of this,” another added.
