There’s just days left until The Golden Bachelor finale and just two women remain longing for Bear’s undivided affection – Janette and Sunny.

Having watched for weeks as Bear connected and dated each of the women, everyone has their theory as to who he will choose on Sunday night – and there are some pretty convincing clues.

Janette, 61, a down-to-earth pilates instructor from Melbourne caught Bear’s attention from the start. They share a deep connection but could Janette’s reluctance to open up get in the way?

On the other hand, Sunny, 58, a vivacious CEO from Sydney has already professed her love to Bear but he worries that having only been single for six months she might not be ready to commit.

The eliminated Bachelorettes

Not long ago, these women were vying for Bear’s heart also, and having lived in the mansion they likely have the most insider knowledge on Janette and Sunny’s connections with Bear.

Here’s who the most recently eliminated Bachelorettes and Bear’s exes Kim and Jan predicted he would choose in the finale:

Kim told 9Entertainment: “Janette is genuinely the loveliest girl, really, there’s nothing manipulative about her. There’s nothing negative about her. She’s just literally what you see, what you get. She’s beautiful and I would put money on Janette.”

Jan felt the same saying her “money is 100 percent on Janette”.

“I’m really close with Janette. We did the camper van activity together. She was particularly fond of Bear.

“When we’d chat, I’d say ‘I can see the connection with you, but I don’t have that connection’ and you know, good on you and good luck to you.’”

Jan shared with 9Entertainment that when she left the mansion she warned Bear particularly to “be kind” to Janette.

Fans put it to a vote

The Golden Bachelor fans are pretty evenly divided over who will win Bear’s heart in the end.

In a poll run by 9Entertainment, 46 percent of voters think Sunny will walk away hand-in-hand with Bear while a slight majority of 54 percent voted Janette as Bear’s forever partner.

We’ve watched The Golden Bachelor just as intently as the rest of Australia and while it could go either way some of our team members have some theories.

“I think the fact that Sunny is the only woman to have received a gift from Bear, remember that gorgeous pearl necklace, speaks volumes!” 9Entertainment editor Lauren said.

But our producer Rosie didn’t see things the same way.

“Are you forgetting Janette is the only woman to get two single dates? That’s got to mean something!” she said.

A third writer added: “To be honest, I did not see Sunny being in the finals at the start, but now that she’s here, it could go either way!”

The Golden Bachelor fandom has taken to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X to share their finale predictions.
