Fans of ’90s TV and film were in for a treat when one of the decade’s most recognizable stars made a rare appearance in Los Angeles.
The 63-year-old actress — who won hearts as Casey on the sitcom Wings from 1994 to 1997 — looked effortlessly stunning even in a laid-back look of a plaid shirt, black tank, and cargo pants.
It was a far cry from her turn as Flo in 1990’s Problem Child, where she played John Ritter’s gold-digging wife.
Of course, the role ended up changing her life off-screen too — she and Ritter fell in love on set and later married.
Die-hard fans also remember her as the mermaid Madison in the 1988 TV sequel Splash, Too, stepping into the role made famous by Daryl Hannah in the Tom Hanks hit Splash.
The star is perhaps best known, however, as Elizabeth, Stuckey’s (Jason Alexander) wife in Pretty Woman.
So, who is the stunning star spotted during her rare outing?

None other than Amy Yasbeck!
The actress was born on September 12, 1962, in Blue Ash, Ohio, before setting her sights on Hollywood.
Her early career was filled with guest spots on shows like Dallas, Magnum, P.I., Murphy Brown, and even a short run as Olivia Reed on Days of Our Lives from 1986 to 1987.
She went on to make her mark in the ’90s with a string of film roles, including Problem Child, Problem Child 2, House II: The Second Story, Pretty Woman, and The Mask.
Comedy legend Mel Brooks also cast her twice, first in Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) and later in Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995).
On television, she became a household name as Casey Chappel Davenport on Wings, and later starred in Alright Already and Life on a Stick.
Disney fans may also remember her from a 2006 episode of That’s So Raven, where she played Chelsea’s mother.
There was even talk of a spin-off built around Yasbeck and co-star Anneliese van der Pol, but the project never materialized.

Yasbeck married Ritter in 1999 after the two fell in love filming Problem Child, and together they welcomed a daughter, Stella, in 1998.
The couple shared the screen more than once, including in Problem Child 2 and even on Wings, where Ritter guest-starred as her estranged husband.
Tragedy struck in 2003 when Ritter died suddenly from an aortic dissection, a condition that had gone undiagnosed.
Yasbeck later appeared on Larry King Live to raise awareness about heart disease and also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the hospital and doctors involved in Ritter’s care.
While some settlements were reached, a jury ultimately cleared the physicians of wrongdoing.
Sources say Yasbeck secured over $14 million in settlements.
Shortly after losing her husband, the Robin Hood: Men in Tights star launched the John Ritter Foundation.
‘It takes up a great deal of time, but it needed to happen and it has already had some beautiful results in just the awareness that’s brought to aortic dissection and aortic health in general,’ she told People in 2022.

The cast of Wings also included Steven Weber as Brian Hackett, Tim Daly as Joe Hackett, Crystal Bernard as Helen Chappel, David Schramm as Roy Biggins, Thomas Haden Church as Lowell Mather, Tony Shalhoub as Antonio Scarpacciand and Rebecca Schull as Fay Cochran
She was also known for playing Maid Marian in Robin Hood: Men in Tights
‘I miss John as a partner,’ she added a the time. ‘I don’t date, I mean, it could happen. I’m not in the mood. I think I would miss John more if I was dating, as weird as that sounds.
‘But because I always feel like he’s with me, and that would be weird because in that case, three is not company.’

They hit it off immediately, bonding over a shared passion for the arts, and nine years later, they were married in September 1999.
‘John and I bonded over comedy, where we’d watch old comedies,’ Yasbeck recalled to People.
‘He would do moves and he would teach me how to trip or take a fake punch or spit take. I was learning that kind of stuff, physical comedy from the master, which John was.’
