He’s currently in one of the most romantic cities in the world for what has been dubbed ‘the wedding of the century.’
But, fresh off his reported split from Katy Perry, it appears newly-single Orlando Bloom was unable to completely conceal his heartbreak.
Despite managing to put on a happy face in the presence of A-listers such as Tom Brady, the Lord of the Rings star, 48, appeared wistful as he prepared to celebrate Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez‘s nuptials in Venice, Italy on Thursday.
Even while enjoying a boat ride through the majestic city, Orlando looked somewhat somber.
As the vessel cruised across the water, Orlando failed to crack a smile while standing against a railing with a beverage in hand, exuding an air of contemplation.
His eyes were concealed behind sunglasses, further adding to the mystique.

It wasn’t all downcast looks for Orlando, however, with the celebrations likely serving as a distraction from the reported break-up.
His smile was undeniable as he was seen riding another boat with NFL star Brady.
It was claimed on Wednesday that Orlando and Katy had called it quits following weeks of escalating tension after nearly a decade of their on–off relationship, six years of being engaged and one child together.
For weeks fans have been speculating all is not well between the pair after Katy, 40, was seen without her engagement ring.
Yet the pop star – who is currently on a world tour – and Orlando, 48, have refused to comment on the speculation, with sources claiming they were hoping to work through their rough patch for the sake of their daughter Daisy Dove, four.
The actor will attend the billionaire’s Italian nuptials without Perry, 40, who is away on tour.
A source told TMZ earlier this week: ‘He’s the life of the party and he’s gonna hit the dance floor hard!’ and added he may even ‘sneak away with Leonardo DiCaprio for some bar crawling.’
Another source said: ’90 per cent of the people at the wedding are kinda boring, but 10 per cent are really fun, including Orlando, Leo and Jeff (Bezos). It’s gonna be a great party!’
Katy and Orlando were last pictured together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March, where they posed for red carpet snaps.
The pair did not seem particularly comfortable in each other’s company, however, body language expert Judi James noted.
News of their split came shortly after Katy went to space, drawing significant backlash amid viral videos trolling her world tour and her poor-performing album 143.

While Orlando was in the crowd when the rocket took off, he kept a low-profile and was not seen by Katy’s side when she returned.
It was claimed Orlando was ’embarrassed’ by the trip after Katy became the internet’s punching bag for her eccentric actions, hogging the camera while holding up a daisy – a nod to her daughter – in zero gravity, before bizarrely dropping to her knees and kissing the ground on touchdown.
‘He told her the whole thing looked ridiculous,’ a source in Katy’s camp told the Daily Mail. ‘He said it was cringeworthy. Embarrassing. This was in the middle of a fight, and it hurt her feelings.’

‘Of course she was hurt,’ the source continued. ‘Imagine going to space — motherf****** space — and your partner isn’t impressed. She hoped he’d be more supportive.’
The tech magnate Bezos and his journalist fiancee have reportedly invited about 200 guests to their multi-million dollar nuptials in the Italian city.
Around 90 private jets are set to land in local airports this week, bringing A-listers from show business, politics and finance to the widely-dubbed ‘wedding of the century’.
The celebrations are expected to kick off on Thursday and end on Saturday.
