Paul Pierce…Thursday is going to be pretty rough, buddy.
The Boston Celtics lost to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the second round playoff series. The Celtics, who lost to the Knicks in overtime of Game 1 of the second round playoff series, blew a huge lead in Game 2. Boston was up by 20 points, before falling by one point.
Pierce, who led the Boston Celtics to an NBA championship back in 2008, is probably regretting what he said on “Speak” on Fox Sports 1 earlier on Wednesday afternoon.
He’s in some big trouble now.

Pierce guaranteed that the Celtics would beat the Knicks in Game 2. He said that if the Celtics lost to the Knicks in Game 2, he would walk to the Fox Sports 1 studio in Southern California, in nothing but a bathrobe and some barefeet.
“If the Celtics lose [Game 2], I promise you, I’m walking here tomorrow… In my robe, no shoes on, bare feet… Put the house on this game… You got a better chance at walking out of this studio and seeing a dinosaur [than a Celtics L],” he said.
Well, the Celtics lost Game 2 of the second round NBA playoff series. We’ll have to see if Pierce is willing to pay up on his bet on Thursday afternoon.
Game 3 of the second round playoff series between the Knicks and the Celtics is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
The Knicks will look to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
