Charles Barkley couldn’t help but vent about the current state of the country during Tuesday’s edition of “Inside the NBA.”
Barkley and the rest of the “Inside the NBA” crew offered their thoughts on Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton being voted the most overrated player in the league. He received 14.4 percent of the votes from The Athletic’s anonymous player poll.
Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith weren’t happy about Haliburton being named the most overrated player in the NBA. Barkley, however, wasn’t bothered by it.
In fact, Barkley believes people need to stop worrying about what others say about them. He thinks it’s an issue that has been plaguing America for a while now.
“One of the biggest problems we got in this country, people feel the need to respond to everything something says about them,” Barkley said. “You can just laugh. You don’t have to respond to every fool that says something about you.”

Barkley isn’t afraid to be blunt on national television. We’re talking about an analyst who ripped politicians just a few months ago.
“I wish that people were smarter, personally,” Barkley said. “I think these politicians – both parties – I think both parties suck. But I think they do a really good job of making us not like each other…
Racism exists, always has, always will, unfortunately. But what America has become is rich people against poor people.
And I wish people would understand that politicians do a good job of making us fight with each other. But it’s really rich people against poor people.
“They try to make it about Black, white, immigration, homosexuality and all these different things, but what it is, is rich people making people not liking each other. And until we address that, we’re never gonna be successful.”
Whether you agree with Barkley’s political takes or not, he’s not wrong about Americans being way too concerned with the opinions of others.
