For some reason, Barkley has mocked “big women” in San Antonio for several years. He has legitimately made jokes about them eating too many churros. Additionally, he has made Weight Watchers references while on national TV.

Barkley even used the Spurs drafting Victor Wembanyama in 2023 as an excuse to insult San Antonio women.

“I’ll tell you what, Victor Wembanyama will be great in San Antonio. If he goes to San Antonio, he’ll definitely gain some weight,” Barkley said, via MYSA,.

“He won’t have to worry about being skinny down there. He won’t have to worry about being skinny in San Antonio. Hey, Victor, go to San Antonio, they’ll put some weight on you.”

Prior to Monday night’s national championship game between Florida and Houston, the Hall of Famer made yet another comment about the women who live in San Antonio.

“San Antonio, thank you,” Barkley said. “And yes, y’all got some big [expletives] here.”

Barkley made that comment while at Capital One’s Jam Fest this past weekend.

Barkley has received plenty of backlash for fat-shaming San Antonio women. He claims that it’s all in good fun. While he might feel that way, it seems like his beef with San Antonio women is a bit personal.

“If you don’t like me or the show, turn it off,” Barkley said. “And they want me to apologize [for talking about San Antonio women]. That’s not going to happen.”

Do you think Barkley crossed the line?
