Following the Los Angeles Clippers’ victory over the Denver Nuggets, Draymond Green’s podcast co-host, Baron Davis, weighed in with a candid take on the Golden State Warriors’ slogan.

Some teams look for inspiration to fuel their playoff push, and in the case of the Denver Nuggets, they’ve chosen a familiar slogan to rally around.
Borrowing from the Golden State Warriors’ iconic playoff run, the Nuggets have embraced the mantra “We Believe” as they look to overcome internal challenges, including recent tension surrounding head coach Michael Malone.
The choice of slogan hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially by Draymond Green‘s co-host in his podcast, Baron Davis.

“We Believe” famously defined the 2007 Warriors, a team that defied expectations and made a historic playoff run. Now, Nuggets fans are leaning into the same phrase during Denver’s current postseason campaign, even after a tough loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
With their first-round series still up for grabs, the Nuggets are counting on that message to spark a deep run.
The fanbase has rallied behind it, and the organization appears all-in on the belief. But around the league, some are questioning whether the team could’ve chosen something more original.
Baron Davis, who played a key role in the original “We Believe” Warriors team, weighed in on The Draymond Green Show and didn’t hold back.
“I mean, that’s just so original. So original and unoriginal,” Davis said with a mix of sarcasm and pride on Monday.

Davis calls out Nuggets for lack of originality
It wasn’t just his opinion about the Nuggets’ playoff slogan, Davis took it a step further. The former Warriors guard sent a message to Denver, urging them to come up with their own catchphrase instead of recycling one used by Golden State in a previous season.
“Man, come on, Denver. Call me, I’ll give you a slogan. This ain’t going to work. Somebody should be fired. This don’t work in Denver, you got to come up with something for Denver,” Davis said.
The slogan in question, originally used by the Warriors during their 2006–07 playoff run, was printed on the towels distributed by the Nuggets for Game 2 against the Clippers.

Denver is hoping to rally both fans and players as they aim to return to the NBA Finals.
Draymond Green backs Davis’ criticism
Draymond Green didn’t hold back on his podcast. Known for speaking his mind, the Warriors forward echoed Davis’ frustration, using his platform to call out the decision-makers in Denver.
“Somebody should be fired,” Green said. One thing’s clear, the Nuggets will need more than a slogan to get past a Clippers team led by James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, especially with the series tied 1–1.
