Miley Cyrus threw some unexpected shade at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth  while signing autographs for fans.

During a meet and greet with one lucky fan, the Hannah Montana star, 32, subtly took a shot at her former spouse, 35, as she signed a copy of her new album.

The fan, who shared the same first name as Hemsworth, shared proof of the snarky move on X (formerly Twitter).

While autographing her latest record, Something Beautiful, she cheekily addressed it to: ‘The Best Liam.’

The compliment clearly made her fan’s day as he shared a photo of himself with the Wrecking Ball singer with the caption: ‘me when I’m “The Best Liam.”‘

Cyrus’ declaration that her fan is “The Best Liam” comes after a decade-long romance with Hemsworth, who she met when they both starred in the 2010 film The Last Song.

The former couple secretly wed in December 2018, but split less than a year after walking down the aisle.

Hemsworth filed for divorce days later, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the cause of the split. Their divorce was finalized in January 2020.

Miley has been dating drummer Maxx Morando since 2021 while Liam has been with model Gabriella Brooks since late 2019.

Last month, Miley revealed during an interview on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music 1 that she had a medical emergency during a performance.

The Franklin, Tennessee native had been working with her godmother Dolly Parton on her TV special Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party when an ovarian cyst ruptured.

The End of the World singer said she ‘had a pretty traumatic experience on a show that I was doing with’ SNL creator Lorne Michaels.

Miley said, ‘I had a medical emergency – I had an ovarian cyst rupture – we didn’t know exactly what was going on so we did it.’

Miley said that she stuck to the credo that the show must go on, despite severe physical symptoms that likely would have sidelined other performers.

‘It was pretty traumatic because it was extremely excruciating and I did the show anyway,’ Cyrus said on the music-focused chat show.

The Slide Away songstress emphasized that taking the stage with the ailment ‘was really really hard on’ her.

The Mayo Clinic defines ovarian cysts as ‘sacs, usually filled with fluid, in an ovary or on its surface. Females have two ovaries. One ovary is located on each side of the uterus.

The clinic said that ‘each ovary is about the size and shape of an almond,’ as ‘eggs develop and mature in the ovaries’ and ‘are released in monthly cycles during the childbearing years.’

‘Ovarian cysts are common, and most of the time will be harmless and not require any oversight from a medical professional, the clinic reported.

In the interview, she also talked about staying sober, and what a massive impact its had on her day-to-day life..

Miley, who gave up marijuana and alcohol over the past 10 years, explained, ‘I need it. I live for it. It’s changed my entire life.’

She added: ‘I’ve learned this about myself over the years: sobriety is, like, that’s like my God.’

On the NBC special – which past featured appearances from Paris Hilton, Sia and David Byrne – Miley and the beloved music legend Dolly collaborated on three of their iconic hits: Miley’s Wrecking Ball and Dolly’s Jolene and I Will Always Love You.

Miley is currently on the promotional trail for her latest album, Something Beautiful, which is the ninth studio album of her career.

The Columbia Records album dropped on May 30, with a musical movie also named Something Beautiful set to arrive in theaters June 6.

Miley’s most recent album came with 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation, which spawned the mega hit Flowers; and the singles River, Jaded and Used to Be Young.
