In an example of life imitating art, Téa Leoni tied the knot with her former onscreen husband Tim Daly in New York on Saturday after 11 years of dating.

The 59-year-old bride and the 69-year-old groom originally met while portraying the First Couple in Barbara Hall’s political drama Madame Secretary, which aired for six seasons spanning 2014-2019 on CBS.

Tim (born James) is now stepfather to Leoni’s daughter West as well as her 23-year-old son Kyd Duchovny from her on/off 17-year marriage to David Duchovny, which ended in 2014.

The two-time Emmy nominee rarely post pictures of Téa, but he managed to get a seaside Instagram snap of her turning her head away in 2023.

When Tim and Leoni first began their on-set romance, the cast and crew of Madam Secretary had no clue.

‘I heard a rumor about it, and everyone was like, “No, no way!” And I’m like, “Maybe,”‘ Geoffrey Arend told People back in 2014.

‘Nobody really knew. You don’t want to go to your boss and be like, “Hey, so who are you dating?” So now I think we’re all really protective.’

The 47-year-old ex-husband of Christina Hendricks added: ‘He couldn’t be a nicer guy. Tim’s the best — they’re really good together.’

Prior to Daly, the blonde beauty first separated from her 64-year-old ex-husband in 2008 when he entered The Meadows treatment center in Wickenburg, AZ for a 35-day rehab stint for sex addiction.

Téa and David reunited in 2009, but separated for good in 2011.
