Justin Bieber used Instagram to make an indirect statement about drug use.

On Sunday the 31-year-old pop star — who could be going on tour soon — shared a video featuring the late rapper DMX in a conversation with Iyanla Vanzant, during which he said he did not want to be sober.

In the excerpt, taken from a 2013 episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life, Vanzant asked DMX if he wanted to ‘live your life as a clean man,’ to which he gave a defiant answer.

‘No weed, no drinking, nothing?’ he shot back before asking, ‘Why would I?’

‘Because it makes you a clear, pure vessel for the voice of god,’ Vanzant reasoned before DMX replied, ‘I think I’m exactly where I need to be with god.’

Bieber didn’t offer any additional context or a personal statement about the tidbit, which he reposted from the Los Angeles-based weed dispensary account Gassy.

He has been outspoken about his faith in god throughout the years, and his ongoing close relationship with his Churchome pastor Judah Smith.

The father-of-one — who shares nearly one-year-old son Jack Blues Bieber with wife Hailey Bieber — has also not shied away from publicly posting social media photos with bongs.

While fans have expressed concern for Justin’s health this year, a representative for the Swag music artist denied he is engaging in any illegal drug use.

‘The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true,’ his rep told TMZ in February, adding that his client is actually ‘in one of the best places in his life.’

It was added at the time that he was focused on ‘actively parenting his newborn son’ and working on new music.

Bieber’s rep also explained that the Canadian-born star had endured a ‘very transformative’ past year, in which ‘he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.’

Bieber released his surprise seventh studio album, Swag, to critical acclaim on July 11.

Several songs make mention of his public persona, personal struggles, and his commitment to his wife Hailey and their baby son.

There is also a theme of interludes featuring comedian Druski, during which Justin engages in candid ‘therapy sessions’ with the social media star.

Now, there are rumors that the music sensation will tour Australia following the successful album release.

Justin has not yet confirmed whether he will be touring the album, nor has Frontier Touring, who told Rolling Stone it had no information on any potential Australian tour dates.

The hitmaker previously cancelled his Justice world tour in 2022 for health reasons.
