Khloe Kardashian got candid about how her divorce from Lamar Odom ‘prepared’ her for the very public split from cheating ex Tristan Thompson.

The TV personality, 41 – who finally set the record straight on every cosmetic surgery she has had – opened up about the topic on Wednesday’s episode of her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast.

The reality star was previously married to the former NBA player from 2009 until their divorce in 2016. She then dated Thompson on-and-off from 2016 until the pair separated in 2021 following his affair scandals.

As she answered fan questions, Khloe was asked to recall a moment in her life when she felt like the ‘strongest version’ of herself.

‘I don’t know if there was one particular moment – I mean, I feel like I’ve had many moments that sort of prepared me for other situations in my life, where I was able to endure them,’ the mom-of-two began.

‘So I feel like everything that happens in our lives is meant to happen, and even if they’re not all positive situations, I do think that there’s steps in why things happen to you.’

The reality star was previously married to the former NBA player from 2009 until their divorce in 2016. She then dated Thompson on-and-off from 2016 until the pair separated in 2021 following his affair scandals

Khloe then used her past relationship with Lamar as an example and said, ‘Me going through such a public divorce and handling that.

‘And yes, it was between him and I, and it was a great love that was now lost and that whole thing – it was so public. So public that I’ve never dealt with something like that before. But I dealt with it and I had my family’s support and all of that.’

The Good American founder expressed that the situation had been ‘a stepping stone’ for ‘the next big traumatic thing that happened to me.

‘Which was when Tristan cheated on me right before I gave birth,’ she added, referring to her eldest daughter True, seven. Khloe shares both True and son Tatum, two, with Thompson.

The star admitted, ‘Obviously no one can prepare you for something like that. And it wasn’t the cheating that’s like, “Ugh.” People get cheated on.

‘But it was more that I was nine months pregnant. I was having a baby two days later, and it was so public and it was everywhere.’

The media personality continued, ‘But I think I handled it the best that I knew how because I almost got a little experience of it, or a lot of experience of it, from my divorce with Lamar. So it sort of prepared me.’

Khloe then explained that if it had just been a ‘one-off situation,’ she doesn’t know ‘if I would’ve been able just to handle that isolated incident.’

‘Everything prepared me for each experience in my life, and I think when you overcome those experiences, you feel really strong.

‘And also for how I handled so many of those moments in my life, I’m really proud of myself for the way I handled them,’ she added.

Khloe first crossed paths with Odom in August 2009, and they notably tied the knot just one month later in September during a lavish Beverly Hills ceremony.

In 2011, the former couple also starred in their own reality series titled Khloe & Lamar which aired for a total of two seasons.

After four years of marriage, Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar in 2013 when he was also embroiled in rumors of substance abuse issues.

A few years later in 2015 before their divorce was finalized, the TV personality notably rushed to Odom’s side when he was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious in a brothel.

Kardashian eventually called off the divorce and the pair spent time together following his hospitalization.

But in May 2016, Khloe filed for divorce once again with a source telling People at the time: ‘This was always the plan. The divorce has never been officially off. Khloe was waiting for the timing to be right.

‘Everything prepared me for each experience in my life, and I think when you overcome those experiences, you feel really strong,’ Khloe said

The same year her divorce from Lamar was finalized, Khloe then struck up a romance with Tristan Thompson.

The former couple began dating in 2016 – and welcomed their first child, True, in April 2018.

However, Tristan cheated on the TV personality when she was pregnant with their daughter. After the shock news broke, the pair remained together.

In response to a social media user on Twitter that same year, Khloe had expressed, ‘You have no knowledge of what goes on in our household or the enormous rebuilding this takes to even coexist.’

‘I’m proud of my strength. I appreciate your opinion and I hope you hold that same opinion to everyone else who has stayed in situations.’

The following year in 2019, the two split after Thompson kissed Kylie Jenner’s on/off BFF Jordyn Woods at a party – but reconciled during the Covid-19 pandemic after they quarantined together.

In June 2021, the pair once again ended their relationship, while a source told Us Weekly at the time that the stars ‘remain amicable toward each other and will continue to coparent.’

Later that same year, Maralee Nichols sued Tristan for child support after she welcomed their son earlier that month.

She had become pregnant when Thompson was still dating Khloe – and after taking a paternity test, it was confirmed that he was the father of the baby boy.

The basketball pro issued an apology to Khloe, stating, ‘you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.’

‘You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.’

On July 28, 2022, the pair welcomed their second child – son Tatum – via surrogate.

Along with his son, Theo, whom he shares with Nichols, Thompson is also father to Prince. He welcomed the baby boy with ex, Jordan Craig.

Following his numerous cheating scandals, both he and Khloe have seemingly put the past behind them.

She then listed out the procedures, which included a nose job, Botox, fillers, soft wave laser for skin tightening and salmon sperm facials.
