Cavallari first joked she’d “rather f—ing die” than get back together with any of her exes before answering the fan question on her podcast tour

Kristin Cavallari is happy to leave her exes in the past — except maybe one of them.

During her latest stop on her Let’s Be Honest podcast live tour in Boston on March 12, the reality star was asked by an audience member which of her exes she would choose if she had to spend the rest of her life with one of them.

At first, she joked that she’d “honestly rather f—ing die” than get back with any of her exes in a video obtained by TMZ. But then, she said she was “just kidding” and gave an honest answer.

“I would settle with Mark because I could have really good sex for the rest of my life,” Cavallari, 38, said, referring to her most recent boyfriend, 24-year-old TikTok star Mark Estes.

Cavallari and Estes were together for seven months before their split in September, which the Uncommon James mogul confirmed during an appearance on Alex Cooper’s Unwell tour in Austin, Texas.

A source later told PEOPLE that their age difference — they’re 13 years apart — “played a factor” in the split, “but there’s no drama.”

“They were just heading in different directions,” the source said. “She has love and respect for him.”

It’s unsurprising, though, that she chose Estes out of all of her exes considering how open she was about their sex life during their relationship, which started after Estes slid into her DMs on Instagram.

“You’re the best sex I’ve ever had for sure,” Estes told Cavallari during an appearance on her podcast weeks before their breakup, and she agreed as she said she was “so wildly attracted to” him and “I think we just have really hot sex.”

The Laguna Beach alum said that their breakup was “not because of love lost or something bad happened” but because she knew “long-term” it wasn’t “right.”

“He’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I just know long-term he needs to experience life, he’s young… I started to feel the age a little bit with life experience,” she said on her Let’s Be Honest podcast after the split. “I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then, those are crucial years, those are formative years, they’re when you find yourself and he needs to be able to do that.”

In December, Cavallari teased that she’s dating someone new — a 40-year-old “retired athlete.”

“I’m a f—ing WAG through and through. He’s such a good guy, and it’s new, but he checks all the boxes where I’m like, ‘F—, this is what I’ve been needing,’” she said on Bunnie Xo’s podcast, Dumb Blonde. “He retired a couple of years ago, and he has so much depth. And I just love talking to him.”
