Luka Doncic has made a major impact on the Los Angeles Lakers since his shocking trade from the Dallas Mavericks on February 2.

In 16 games played with the Lakers, he’s averaging 26.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 8.0 assists per outing.

Gabe Vincent was in awe of Doncic’s ability to escape double and triple teams, highlighting that he makes the game easier for the rest of the team.

After the Lakers took down the Denver Nuggets 120-108 on Wednesday, Vincent showered the Slovenian guard with praise, detailing how Doncic opens up the floor for them regardless of who guards him.

“Sometimes teams send three guys at home, and it’s just amazing that he finds the open man time and time again,” Gabe Vincent said.

“He makes the game so easy for us whether he’s getting to the free-throw line himself, or walking to the rim, or making a tough shot when we need one, or finding the open guy over and over again whether it’s for the assist or the pocket, he just makes the right read every time.”

Doncic is the Lakers star of the present and the future. He’s the heir to LeBron James’ throne once the four-time NBA champion calls it a career.

The pair has played at a high level during the first month and a half together at Crypto.com Arena.

Doncic’s scoring abilities are well-known around the league, but it’s his passing trait that makes him and the Lakers a serious threat against any defensive scheme opposing teams prepare for him.
