Julie Chrisley is breaking her silence on the poor conditions she endured while in prison for more than two years.
Julie, 52, and her husband Todd, 56, were both convicted in 2022 for orchestrating a $30 million bank fraud and tax evasion scheme and had been serving multi-year sentences.
‘I could see my health deteriorating,’ the mother-of-three said in an ABC News special that premiered on Hulu on Sunday.
Julie was serving out her time in Kentucky until 2028 and Todd in Florida until 2032 before they were pardoned one month ago.
In late May, President Trump personally called their daughter Savannah Chrisley, 27, to inform her of his decision to grant the couple clemency.

Prior to her release the former USA Network star was held at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
During her 28 months behind bars she developed asthma.
She marveled while talking to ABC, ‘A month ago I was sitting in prison, dreading a summer with no air conditioning, and now here I am, home.’
Savannah, who fiercely advocated for her parents’ early release, previously detailed the harsh conditions at the Kentucky facility last summer on her Unlocked podcast.
‘In the visitation room, thank goodness there’s air conditioning, but outside the visitation room, there is zero air conditioning and the heat index was [between] 105 and 110 [degrees],’ she said at the time.
The concerned daughter added, ‘And that’s what mom’s living in, in conditions like that, with absolutely no air, and it can be 100 degrees inside the building.’
Savannah went on to say, ‘She literally said that she got physically sick because she got so hot.
‘So you have these women who are suffering from heat exhaustion and they’re passing out, but yet, you know, there are service dogs [at the same facility] that have air conditioning… none of it makes sense to me. It is so beyond inhumane.’

During a press conference in May, Todd said, ‘Being in the prison system, anyone that says that it’s a fair shake, it’s not.’
Reflecting on his time at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, he added, ‘I dealt with young African-American males in the prison that I was in that were not treated the same. They were not.
‘They were denied programming. They were denied access to certain things I was not denied.’
The family says that they plan to use their platform to advocate for prison reform, and they already have a new Lifetime reality television series in the works.
The Chrisleys rose to fame while appearing on the unscripted series Chrisley Knows Best in 2014.
