Patrick Beverley caused a stir on social media after revealing his pick between Dwyane Wade and James Harden, who are considered two of the best NBA shooting guards ever, after Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Once his career was over, three-time NBA champion Wade was widely regarded as the third-best ever in the position. Beverley, though, believes Harden’s longevity is the key factor in picking Harden over the Miami Heat icon.

“I seen the comparison with James Harden and D-Wade,” Beverley said on Wednesday’s episode of his show. “While I’m taking James Harden over D-Wade, it’s only because of longevity.”

“Between those years, it was something that we got from the older generation. They play a lot, they don’t lift a lot of weights. They get injured around 32, 33, they’re never the same, right?”

This take sparked plenty of reactions from fans. Some sided with Wade and others with Harden in this intense debate.

“And HArden is a more complete player,” one fan said.

“Prime Harden peaked way higher than Dwade,” another fan said.

“Harden clears Wade,” a third fan said.

“Wade actually won in playoffs and won championships 🤣 Harden folds as soon as he gets in Playoffs…” a fourth fan said.

“I’m taking DWade if I’m trying to win. Harden just want the 💵,” a fifth fan wrote.

“I’m taking the one with three rings,” a sixth fan said.

Truth be told, Harden is still playing at a high level with the Los Angeles Clippers, but Wade won three championships as a first and second option on the Miami Heat.

Before the Clippers, “The Beard” spent time with the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, failing at his attempts to win the championship.

Time will tell if he can reach the promised land in Los Angeles.
