Legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson hasn’t been heard from much since leaving the game.
Jackson, 79, spends most of his time in Montana. He is one of the greatest head coaches in NBA history, leading the Bulls and Lakers to 11 different championships, including multiple three-peats with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
It’s been more than a decade since Jackson strutted an NBA sideline. He last coached the Los Angeles Lakers from 2010-11, before leaving the game.
Jackson is pretty quiet now, though he recently caused a stir with a political post on Wednesday evening, April 23.

Jackson took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to repost a video of a protestor inside of Trump Tower.
The legendary NBA head coach shared a video of a man inside Trump Tower. The man was arrested for spray painting the Trump Tower placard.
The protestor was reportedly a climate change protestor, who spoke out following the incident.
“I did this because I am an American. It is my duty to stand up for my country, and my Earth, when a government becomes destructive of our right to life,” he told Newsweek.
The protest is believed to have been staged by Extinction Rebellion, which is an international environmental activist movement.
NBA fans were a bit surprised to see Jackson posting the video on Wednesday.
“Did you get hacked coach ?” one fan wrote.
“He has lost it,” one fan added.
“Why might Phil be posting this?” another fan wrote on social media.

This was Jackson’s second cryptic post in a couple of days. He also posted about the NBA playing on religious holidays.
“Again the NBA tests faith by playing multiple games on Christmas and Easter…sacred days,” he wrote on X.
Jackson had last tweeted in February of 2024.
