My Best Friend’s Wedding star Dermot Mulroney has filed for divorce from his longtime wife, Prima Apollinaare, after 14 years of marriage.
In court documents, obtained by TMZ, the 61-year-old actor is reportedly asking for spousal support and for the court ‘to block her’ from receiving any support from him.
Mulroney and Apollinaare both cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the end of their marriage.
The former couple, who share two minor children, are both still listed at the same Sherman Oaks address.
This indicates that they are still cohabiting following their split or just sharing a mailing address for now.
The Young Guns actor is seeking joint custody of their daughters Mabel Ray, 15, and Sally Mulroney, 17, and that attorneys’ fees be split between them.

According to People, Mulroney stated that that they haven’t determined ‘the nature and extent’ of their assets will be considered community property.’
He also stated that ‘all community earnings and accumulation during marriage through the date of separation will be considered community property.
The Daily Mail has not received a response to its request for comment.
Mulroney and Apollinaare began dating in 2008 after bonding over their love of music.
Like Apollinaare, who is a singer-songwriter, Mulroney is multitalented in the world of the arts.
Apollinaare, who is from Italy, was even listed as one of Mulroney’s producing partners for a biopic he was set to direct.
In February 2024, the pair gave no indication of relationship troubles as they performed a duet of Islands in the Stream on Fox’s We Are Family.
When asked his reaction to getting the call to do the show, Mulroney told EW: ‘It was such an amazing phone call to get… They knew Prima’s music and put together that we are this sort of secret couple even though we’ve been together for 20 years.’

He went on to describe how they are ‘kind of a stealth Hollywood couple’ and that they were honored to be on a ‘game show that helps other people and isn’t just fun and games.’
Apollinaare added: ‘We both like to do karaoke together and we both like music so much. It was actually, for me, it was really an amazing experience to be on television and singing. Of course with my husband, I play with him all the time in the house. We all play instruments. We have harps, guitars, ukulele, pianos, you name it.’
The singer also said she ‘had fun singing’ with her spouse and that it was ‘such an easy peasy experience’ for her.
Mulroney is best known for his role in the 1997 hit romantic comedy, My Best Friend’s Wedding, alongside Julia Roberts.
In the film, he plays Michael O’Neal a sports reporter, whose best friend (Roberts) tries, unsuccessfully, to break up his engagement to another woman (Cameron Diaz).
