‘School Of Rock’ actor Nicky Katt, 54, was found hanged in his rented home in Los Angeles on April 8.
According to TMZ, the landlord found Nicky Katt’s body in the apartment. Five days earlier, the landlord had gone to meet with the actor to discuss overdue rent. When he returned, he found the apartment door open and found Katt hanging in the bedroom.

Katt’s lawyer, John Sloss, broke the sad news on Saturday. TMZ’s source said Katt had been dead for more than a day before he was discovered, and no suicide note was found at the scene.
Nicky Katt’s sister confirmed on April 14 that he had committed suicide due to depression. “Today, it is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of my brother’s passing.
He took his own life after battling depression – an illness he fought bravely but quietly,” Katt’s sister, Elise Ravenscroft, told Deadline on Monday.
Nicky Katt was previously married to Annie Morse from 1999 to 2001. The actor was very private about his personal life.
Nicky Katt was born on May 11, 1970, in South Dakota. He began his acting career at the age of 10 with an episode of Fantasy Island (1980). In 1992, Katt played a waitress in the film Sister Act alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith.
A year later, he made his mark with his role in the high school film Dazed And Confused, alongside Ben Affleck and Matthew McConaughey.
He continued to star in films such as Babysitter (1995), A Time To Kill (1996) and Batman & Robin (1997). In 2000, Katt starred alongside Ben Affleck and Vin Diesel in Boiler Room. He also appeared in Richard Linklater’s School Of Rock and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
