Preseason injuries are always some of the most disheartening, and Wednesday’s definitely had the women’s basketball world shook up.

In this morning’s preseason contest between the Atlanta Dream and Washington Mystics, two-time WNBA champ Jordin Canada went down with what appeared to be a right knee injury.

Canada had to be helped back to the locker room with the help of Atlanta’s staff with a towel over her head — clearly emotional.

Fans were quick to wish her well on X.

“Prayers up for jordin canada 🙏🏼,” a user said. “these injuries are breaking my heart man.”

“Damn, prayers up to Jordin Canada. Hoping it’s nothing major!! ❤️‍🩹💪,” another exclaimed.

“Jordin Canada still top of mind, hate to see such a key piece injured in a preseason game,” a fan commented.

“Jordin Canada suffered a right leg injury less than a minute into this morning’s game against Washington and won’t return,” another person reported. “Jordin, who had a successful run at #Unrivaled, looked to be in severe pain while grabbing at her knee. Hoping she’ll be okay.”

“Hope that Jordin Canada is okay!” another user posted.

“Started watching a few minutes late and just saw that Jordin Canada got injured? Praying she’s okay man. 🙏🏽 That looks rough.”

Canada joined the Dream last season after four years with the Seattle Storm and another two with the LA Sparks.

She’s not only a two-time champion but twice was named first-team All-Defense and led the WNBA in steals on multiple occasions.

She was the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft. Let’s hope she’s able to return to the court healthy as soon as possible.
