The New York Knicks topped the Detroit Pistons, 94-93, on Sunday afternoon. New York took a 3-1 lead in the series with the big win. The Knicks will get a chance to close things out in Game 5 at home.

But the Pistons had a chance to win the Game 4 late. However, Cad Cunningham missed a jumper from the free throw line and Tim Hardaway Jr. couldn’t connect on his shot at the buzzer.

Was Hardaway Jr. fouled, though?

It sure looks like he was.

That’s a foul. The refs were bad throughout the game on Sunday, but that’s still a foul.

It needed to be called.

“Fire every ref in that game,” one fan wrote.

“Your refs are DIRTY!!! MULTIPLE Fouls at the end of the Pistons / Knicks game…. Higher ups should fire those refs on the take!!! @DetroitPistons fans hit the streets!!” one fan added.

“CLEAR AS DAY FOUL!! REF WAS LOOKONG RIGHT AT HIM!! @NBA INVESTIGATE THESE REFS AND FIRE THEY BUMS,” one fan added.

“Your refs are DIRTY!!! MULTIPLE Fouls at the end of the Pistons / Knicks game…. Higher ups should fire those refs on the take!!!” another fan wrote.

“Your refs are straight garbage. Who was on the Pistons game?? Fire him immediately,” another fan added.

“Literally refs ruined the series. Took away a win. Fire those refs,” another fan added.

Everyone makes mistakes, including refs, but you just want them to be consistent. That foul on Hardaway Jr.’s jump shot attempt is called every other time throughout the game. However, given the moment, the refs decided to swallow their whistle.

That’s not what you want.

Knicks fans will surely point to some bad calls that went against them throughout the game, but none were at the end of regulation in the fourth quarter.
