Channel 10 has spoken out as viewers grow increasingly worried about one housemate in the Big Brother mansion. There’s no denying tensions would be high inside the Dreamworld house as now 11 people have to learn to live alongside one another.

But Colin Ridley, who has quickly become a fan favourite for this year’s season, has clearly been struggling with some of the challenges and how to handle his complicated relationship with housemate Holly. The aspiring MMA fighter has broken down in a few diary room confessions and it has people watching at home concerned.

Channel 10 told Yahoo Lifestyle that housemates “have access to a psychologist at all times” and they can also speak to Big Brother “whenever they need or want to, day or night” to vent.

Big Brother’s Colin struggles with one housemate

The 21-year-old from Wollongong’s latest meltdown came after he told Holly that he was finding it difficult to know how to interact with her.

The two have shared a kiss or two since entering the house and have become extremely close, so much so that they were told off by fellow housemate Jane to stop canoodling in front of everyone.

But Colin took issue with the model, who is 10 years older than him, forgetting his name, and that she hasn’t bothered trying to get to know him.

He dashed to the diary room to vent and struggled to hold back tears.

“I can’t even comprehend why she’d like me,” he said. “It’s like, if something too good to be true, it usually is right.”

‘Look at me, bro’: Big Brother contestant’s devastating admission

When Big Brother asked Colin why he felt he wasn’t good enough for Holly, he quipped back instantly.

“Look at me, bro, what you mean?” he said. “I’m a goof. I’m silly. ‘Oh, you light up a room’, like, why does she care about that?

“If I saw her out on the street and tried to wave at her, she wouldn’t even wave at me. She wouldn’t even look at me. That’s just a fact.

“Everybody told me, and I didn’t listen, and now I’m here. I knew it was probably too good to be true. It just makes me feel really stupid that I just didn’t listen to myself.”

He said he desperately wanted to talk to his mum as he thought she would know what to say to cheer him up.

Viewers say Colin’s ‘spiral’ is becoming ‘hard to watch’

Viewers were devastated to see Colin feel like this and were worried about his wellbeing.

“He seems like such a nice guy and it hurts to see him upset,” wrote one fan.

“I fully understand where his feelings come from and it’s understandable, but did producers not do a psychological evaluation on this dude?” added another.

“He just keeps spiralling more and more and I think someone needs to intervene.”

A third said: “Someone help my guy. This is genuinely hard to watch.”

This comes after last week’s first challenge of the season saw the housemates ranked from most to least intelligent, with Colin being placed last.

While he initially didn’t mind being ranked at the bottom, he broke down while chatting to Big Brother.

“The way that I am… my personality… I’ve just heard that sort of stuff my whole life,” he said in the diary room.

“Like, ‘you’re too loud’, or ‘you’re stupid’. It hurts a little bit to know that if I’m the best at something, it’s that I’m the best at being stupid.”
