In a heartfelt message to New York Knicks fans, star point guard Jalen Brunson expressed his deep appreciation for their unwavering support and emphasized the crucial role they play in the team’s success.

 Amidst the challenges of the NBA playoffs and ongoing speculation about his future, Brunson’s plea underscores his commitment to the franchise and its loyal fanbase.

“To the fans: You make a difference for us. I just want to make that abundantly clear. Without you, the Knicks aren’t the Knicks,” Brunson shared in a personal letter published in The Players’ Tribune.

“The unconditional love and support has been phenomenal. It’s an honor to play for New York and play in front of this organization, the city and the fan base. I do not take it for granted one bit.”

Brunson’s leadership has been instrumental in the Knicks’ recent playoff run. He delivered a standout performance in Game 6 against the Detroit Pistons, scoring 40 points and hitting the decisive three-pointer that secured the Knicks a 106-103 victory, eliminating the Pistons and advancing New York to face the Boston Celtics in the second round.

Despite facing criticism and taunts from opposing fans, including a derogatory billboard in Detroit labeling him a “mother flopper,” Brunson remained composed and focused on leading his team.
