Shaquille O’Neal is one of the highest earners in NBA history, both on and off of the court.

The legendary NBA big man, who won four championships during his career, made close to $300 million during his playing career.
He’s made hundreds of millions of dollars off of the court, too, with prominent endorsement deals with places like Burger King, Taco Bell, Reebok, Oreos, Papa John’s and others.
O’Neal isn’t afraid to spend that money.
The former LSU Tigers star actually holds the record for the largest purchase in Walmart history. Back in 2008, after getting traded to the Phoenix Suns, O’Neal went to Walmart to find furniture for his apartment. He ended up making the biggest purchase in the history of the store.
“$70,000,” he said on The Late Late Show with James Corden. “I’m the type of guy, I have no patience.”
O’Neal got everything from laptops to T-shirts to underwear.
“Two or three in the morning, I gotta go get four or five TVs, I gotta go get printers, I gotta go get laptops. I gotta go get sheets, towels, underwear, t-shirts,” he said.

However, that $70,000 purchase at Walmart is far from the biggest purchase the legendary NBA star has ever made.
O’Neal recently appeared on REVOLT TV and admitted to making a $1.3 million purchase out of spite.
Early on in his NBA career, O’Neal made an appearance at a Rolls-Royce dealership. The man helping O’Neal out didn’t seem to think that he had enough money to buy a car. Clearly, he wasn’t much of an NBA fan.

O’Neal admitted to not fully wanting to buy a car. However, he was so frustrated with the salesman for doubting him, that he decided to make a purchase out of spite.
The legendary NBA star ended up buying a $1.3 million car out of spite.
O’Neal, who is worth north of $500 million, can surely afford to drop seven figures on a car. However, he’s one of the few who can make a $1.3 million purchase out of spite.
Good for the legendary NBA big man.
